About the role

Provide two-way interpretation in Chinese and Indonesian and simple translation services related to daily work for the company's Chinese managers, covering work communication, meetings, and external liaison. Assist Chinese personnel in communication and coordination with local employees, local suppliers, government departments, communities and surrounding residents to handle various day-to-day affairs. Accompany Chinese personnel on business trips, provide translation and assistance with them, and ensure smooth communication and the implementation of affairs during the travel.

Key responsibilities

• Provide two-way interpretation in Chinese and Indonesian and translation services for work communication, meetings, and external liaison
• Assist Chinese personnel in communication and coordination with local employees, local suppliers, government departments, communities and surrounding residents
• Accompany Chinese personnel on business trips and provide translation and assistance
• Assist in day-to-day administrative and logistical affairs including procurement, transportation, accommodation, and medical care
• React quickly and respond flexibly to unexpected situations to help management handle various issues
• Complete other tasks assigned by supervisors

About you

• High school education or higher, undergraduate background preferred
• Fluent in Chinese and Indonesian with strong listening and written skills qualified for bilingual translation in business and everyday situations
• Able to interact seamlessly with local people and familiar with local culture, customs and ways of doing business
• Flexible communication capabilities and strong on-site emergency response capabilities
• Can independently handle day-to-day affairs and sudden problems
• Can accept travel on business, including within Indonesia and accompanying to other areas when necessary
• Driver's license and skilled driving ability preferred
• Plant-based translation, administrative assistant or plant-related work experience preferred
