Translators/ Interpreters

About the role

We are seeking for a Translator/Interpreter to join the management team at Homni (Ph) Electronics Corp., a newly established electronics manufacturer based in Malvar Batangas. As a Translator/Interpreter, you will play a vital role in facilitating seamless communication between our international teams and ensuring the accurate translation of technical documents and communications. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment and contribute to the success of our growing organization.

What you'll be doing

1. Translating a wide range of technical documents, including product specifications, user manuals, and marketing materials, between English and other languages as required;
2. Providing real-time interpretation services during meetings, conference calls, and other business interactions with international stakeholders;
3. Liaising with subject matter experts to ensure the accurate and contextual translation of specialized terminology;
4. Maintaining translation memory and terminology databases to improve consistency and efficiency;
5. Assisting with the localization of digital content and software applications;
6. Contributing to the development of translation guidelines and best practices within the organization.

What we're looking for

1. Fluency in English and at least one other language, preferably Mandarin Chinese;
2. Proven experience as a professional translator/interpreter, ideally within the electronics or manufacturing industry;
3. Excellent command of grammar, syntax, and idioms in both source and target languages;
4. Strong research and problem-solving skills to handle complex technical terminology and industry-specific content;
5. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines;
6. Familiarity with computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools and machine translation technologies;
7. A degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred but not required.
