Transmission Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities :

To design and develop transmission systems and components (gearbox, gears, shafts, housings) ensuring performance, durability, and cost efficiency.

Preferred candidate profile :

• Design and development of transmission components such as gears, shafts, bearings, synchronizers, and housings.
• Perform design calculations (gear strength, load, fatigue life, durability).
• Create 3D models and drawings using CAD tools (UG NX).
• Apply GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Coordinate with CAE, testing, and manufacturing teams for design validation.
• Support prototype development and testing activities.
• Work on design improvements, cost optimization, and value engineering.
• Analyze failures and support root cause analysis (RCA).
