Transmission Line Project Manager

Position Details

• Location: Las Vegas, NV (100% onsite)
• Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday
• Duration: Initial 1-year contract with strong extension potential
• Travel: Occasional travel to project sites, with all approved expenses covered

Key Responsibilities

• Manage transmission line projects through construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Lead project scope, schedule, budget, forecasting, and risk management activities.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, environmental, permitting, ROW, and operations teams.
• Interface with regulatory agencies, including the BLM and environmental stakeholders.
• Resolve construction, permitting, environmental, and stakeholder-related challenges.
• Provide project updates, risk assessments, and mitigation plans to leadership.
• Support major transmission capital projects and grid expansion initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of utility, transmission, power delivery, or infrastructure project management experience
• Experience supporting 220kV-500kV transmission line projects
• Strong preference for experience on 345kV transmission projects
• Experience working on transmission projects spanning 50+ miles
• Background supporting permitting, environmental, and regulatory processes
• Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar project management tools
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• PE License
• PMP Certification
• Investor-Owned Utility (IOU) experience
• Transmission expansion, reliability, or grid modernization project experience
• Familiarity with NERC, FERC, OSHA, and environmental compliance requirements
