About the Role

Join a leading power engineering consultancy delivering complex power systems, grid modernization, renewable integration, and interconnection projects across North America.

This is a senior technical position for an experienced Power Systems Engineer looking to influence major grid reliability, compliance, and system performance decisions while serving as a trusted advisor to utilities, developers, data centers, IPPs, and industrial clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead power system studies including steady-state, dynamic, transient, and compliance assessments.
• Perform and oversee power flow, short-circuit, protection, harmonic, and stability analysis.
• Support generation, renewable energy, BESS, transmission, and large-load interconnection projects.
• Advise clients on system performance, reliability, grid code compliance, and technical strategy.
• Manage project delivery, technical quality, budgets, and client relationships.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across the business.
• Support proposals, business development, and strategic client growth.

Requirements

• 10+ years of power systems engineering, grid studies, or utility consulting experience.
• Expertise in power flow, short-circuit, transient stability, EMT, and compliance studies.
• Strong understanding of NERC standards, utility requirements, and interconnection processes.
• Experience with PSS®E, PSCAD, ETAP, PowerFactory, PSLF, EMTP-RV, or similar tools.
• Proven ability to lead large, complex consulting or utility projects.
• Strong client-facing and technical leadership capabilities.
