Transplant Coordinator

Role & responsibilities

• Pre-Transplant Evaluation: Guide candidates through medical tests, diagnostic screenings, and financial or social work assessments to build a complete surgical profile. [1, 2]
• Waitlist Management: Maintain active kidney transplant waitlists, track patient health status, and update regulatory or electronic databases (such as UNet or local network systems). [1, 2]
• Living Donor Coordination: Oversee the evaluation, compatibility testing, and logistics for living kidney donors, as well as paired kidney exchange programs. [1, 2]
• Organ Offer & Surgery Logistics: Respond to organ offers, coordinate rapid pre-operative checks, and communicate timelines to the surgical and patient teams. [1, 2]
