Responsibilities

• Manage transportation management systems (TMS) to schedule, track, and optimize shipments
• Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to arrange pickups, deliveries, and freight movements
• Input and maintain accurate data entries related to shipping, receiving, and inventory in systems such as AS400 and SyteLine
• Oversee shipping and receiving processes, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company policies
• Communicate effectively with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams via phone and email to resolve scheduling issues or discrepancies
• Conduct analysis of transportation data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
• Prepare reports on shipment status, delivery timelines, and logistical performance metrics

Skills

• Strong understanding of transportation management systems (TMS) and supply chain processes
• Experience working with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and freight coordination
• Excellent analysis skills to interpret data for process improvements
• Effective communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information via phone etiquette and written correspondence
• Accurate data entry skills with a focus on shipping & receiving documentation
• Typing proficiency for quick data input and record keeping
