ABOUT THE ROLE | Te tūranga mahi

As a Transport Coordinator, you will be based in our Road Office, managing the vehicle booking system (CargoWise) and ensuring the smooth flow of trucks entering Fergusson Wharf and the POAL Empty Yard. Your core responsibility is to release additional VBS bookings when required and ensure all trucks are processed efficiently and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor the Vehicle Booking System (VBS)
• Coordinate truck movements through the port gates
• Process carrier paperwork and emails promptly
• Assist drivers and carriers with queries and induction requirements
• Maintain compliance with MPI and Customs documentation standards
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and can think on their feet. You will be self-driven, reliable, and able to work collaboratively with others while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency.

WHAT YOU NEED | Ngā pūkenga me whēako

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Reliable and self-driven, with the ability to work collaboratively
• Previous experience in logistics or planning (preferred)

Roster Details

This is a full-time onsite role with an eight-week rotating roster. Indicative roster pattern:

• Two weeks of day shifts (7:00 am – 3:00 pm)
• Two weeks of afternoon shifts (3:00 pm – 11:00 pm)
• Two weeks of night shifts (11:00 pm – 7:00 am)
• Two weekends with 12-hour shifts (one day shift and one night shift)
