Transport Driver

Duties

• Safely operate a variety of vehicles including vans, passenger vans, shuttle buses, and on local routes.
• Ensure timely delivery/pick-up of passengers while adhering strictly to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to verify safety standards and report any maintenance needs promptly.
• Communicate effectively with clients or passengers to confirm pick-up and drop-off details, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition for compliance and reporting purposes.
• Assist with loading and unloading cargo or luggage, practicing proper manual handling techniques to prevent injury.
• Follow all state transportation regulations and company protocols to ensure safety for yourself and others at all times.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, chauffeur, or in similar transportation roles.
• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., commercial driver’s license if required).
• Strong knowledge of GPS navigation systems and local driving routes.
• Experience operating passenger vehicles such as vans, shuttle buses, limousines, or school buses.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when needed and handle manual tasks safely.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and client interaction.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics and ability to identify potential issues early.
• Familiarity with state transportation regulations and safety standards related to commercial driving.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
