Transport Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Transport Engineer to join our team at FASTEL SERVICES INC. in Baler, Aurora. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising network systems and infrastructure to support the company's operations and growth.

Job Description:

1. Oversee operation, system administration, configuration, and maintenance of transponder network systems and routers.
2. Monitor alarms and performance metrics to ensure system efficiency.
3. Conduct fault finding and troubleshooting to resolve network issues quickly.
4. Manage fault escalation and handle issue resolution effectively.
5. Administer user access and security to protect network systems.
6. Provision services, and perform backup and restore operations as necessary.
7. Administer software management and licensing to ensure compliance.
8. Handle cross-connections, fiber patching, and cable laying for network setups.
9. Conduct testing and measurements for network performance, including throughput and BER.
10. Execute preventive maintenance, including dust filter cleaning, fan operation checks, and equipment temperature monitoring.

Qualifications:

1. Must be a degree holder of Electronics and Communication Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
2. Preferably a licensed Engineer (ECE or EE).
3. Must have at least five (5) years’ experience in installation, commissioning, testing, integration, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of routers and switches.
4. Preferably with certifications on the systems mentioned above.
5. Preferably with a valid driver's license.
