Transport Planner

Primtac Personnel is currently recruiting a Transport Planner to join our client's busy operation in Kildare. This is a great opportunity for an experienced planner with strong organisational skills and a customer-focused approach.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILTIES

• Plan and coordinate container collections, deliveries and driver routes
• Manage daily transport operations to ensure efficient dispatch and smooth running of the depot
• Keep customers updated on deliveries and resolve queries by phone and email
• Liaise with drivers, accounts and operations to resolve any issues
• Complete transport administration and ensure all procedures and regulations are followed
• Make quick, effective decisions in a busy environment

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Strong knowledge of the Irish transport industry and road network
• Understanding of transport legislation, including tachograph rules and Working Time Directive requirements
• 3+ Years in planning and coordinating transport
• Experience in container transport is an advantage
• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
• Ability to prioritise tasks, solve problems and make decisions under pressure
