Transport Supervisor

Job Summary

The Transport Supervisor - Strategic is responsible for identifying process gaps, developing innovative logistics solutions, supporting strategic projects, facilitating stakeholder collaboration, and ensuring successful implementation of process improvements across the organization. The position plays a key role in driving operational excellence, automation initiatives, cost optimization, and continuous improvement within transport and logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

A. Process Improvement and Operational Excellence

1. Gather and analyze information on current business processes, workflows, work instructions, and operational activities.

2. Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, issues, and improvement opportunities.

3. Document current processes and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, productivity, service levels, and compliance.

4. Facilitate discussions with operational teams to determine root causes and identify corrective actions.

5. Gather ideas, recommendations, and suggestions from various departments.

6. Conduct stakeholder meetings to review findings and align improvement initiatives.

7. Develop process improvement proposals, including contingency and backup plans.

8. Endorse approved recommendations to concerned departments for implementation.

9. Monitor implementation progress and evaluate results against established objectives.

10. Provide regular updates and recommendations for further improvements.

B. Strategic Projects and Innovation

1. Assist the Strategic Transport Manager in developing new projects, solutions, and operational designs.

2. Research innovative logistics, transportation, and supply chain solutions.

3. Develop project concepts, business cases, and project names for new initiatives.

4. Gather and analyze data required for project planning and decision-making.

5. Coordinate with stakeholders to align project objectives and implementation plans.

6. Develop project frameworks, workflows, and solution designs.

7. Prepare alternative solutions and risk mitigation plans.

8. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for automated systems and digital solutions.

9. Coordinate parallel testing between manual and automated processes.

10. Monitor project performance and recommend adjustments to ensure successful implementation.

C. Training and Change Management

1. Develop training materials, presentations, and standard operating procedures related to new projects and process improvements.

2. Conduct training and orientation sessions for employees, truckers, coordinators, and stakeholders.

3. Ensure proper understanding and adoption of new processes and systems.

4. Provide post-implementation support and coaching.

5. Gather feedback from users and recommend further enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Information Technology, Operations Management, or related field.

• Minimum 2-3 years experience in Process Improvement, Project Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, or Operations.

• Experience in process mapping, business analysis, and project implementation is preferred.

• Exposure to Transport Management Systems (TMS), ERP, or automation projects is an advantage.
