Transport Supervisor

The Transport Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily distribution and transport operations to ensure timely deliveries, optimal resource utilization, and efficient service delivery. This role focuses on coordinating transport requirements, supervising operations personnel, managing client relationships, and ensuring that distribution activities meet operational targets while minimizing customer complaints and claims.

Key Responsibilities

Transport & Distribution Operations

• Supervise daily transport and distribution activities to ensure efficient execution of delivery schedules and operational requirements.
• Ensure that all booked transport units are provided and deployed on time to meet client delivery requirements.
• Coordinate with business unit representatives to ensure that distribution plans are properly executed and delivered as scheduled.
• Monitor transport operations to identify and address delivery-related issues, escalating operational irregularities to immediate superiors as necessary.

Team Supervision & Operational Coordination

• Oversee operations personnel to ensure the effective execution and timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to address operational concerns and maintain efficient transport and distribution processes.
• Ensure proper utilization of available transport resources to support operational efficiency and profitability.

Client Coordination & Performance Monitoring

• Maintain regular communication with clients to facilitate delivery bookings, address operational concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Monitor operational performance to ensure that established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved in accordance with internal and external client expectations.
• Support the resolution of delivery-related concerns to minimize customer complaints, claims, and operational inefficiencies.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or any related field.

• At least 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in transport, logistics, or distribution operations.

• Relevant experience in the supply chain, logistics, and distribution industry.

• Knowledge of warehouse and transport management processes, including route optimization and fleet safety compliance.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, clients, and other stakeholders.
