Transport Supervisor

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor to oversee daily transportation and last-mile distribution operations within a high-tech contract logistics environment in Cikarang.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing third-party transportation providers, coordinating delivery schedules, ensuring secure handling of high-value products, and maintaining safe, timely, and cost-effective deliveries.

You will work closely with warehouse operations, customer service teams, and transportation vendors to ensure smooth distribution activities, operational efficiency, and compliance with customer requirements and service level agreements (SLAs).

Key Accountabilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily transportation and distribution activities to ensure timely deliveries and compliance with agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
• Plan and optimize transportation routes, delivery schedules, load allocation, and vehicle utilization to improve efficiency and minimize transportation costs.
• Coordinate and manage third-party transportation vendors to ensure sufficient vehicle availability, reliable service, and operational performance.
• Monitor vendor performance, including on-time delivery, vehicle availability, service quality, and compliance with agreed operational standards.
• Coordinate with warehouse operations, customer service teams, and transportation providers to ensure smooth loading, dispatching, and delivery activities.
• Monitor daily transportation movements, identify potential delays or delivery issues, and implement timely corrective actions.
• Ensure transportation activities comply with applicable Indonesian transportation regulations, occupational health and safety requirements, and company policies.
• Ensure transportation vendors comply with vehicle safety standards, driver requirements, cargo handling procedures, and loading regulations.
• Monitor and report key transportation performance indicators (KPIs), including on-time delivery, transportation costs, vehicle utilization, and cargo damage.
• Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and other operational tools to monitor transportation activities and improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate transportation documentation, including delivery orders, proof of delivery (POD), shipment records, and vendor performance reports.
• Handle transportation incidents, delivery discrepancies, and customer escalations, ensuring timely resolution and preventive actions.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in transportation processes, cost efficiency, service reliability, and operational performance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in transportation, distribution, or logistics operations, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS), such as Manhattan, as well as Oracle/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of Indonesian transportation regulations, driver working hours and rest requirements, and Occupational Health and Safety (K3) regulations.
• Strong communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia, with working proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong route planning, problem-solving, and team leadership skills, with the ability to work under time pressure in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Willing to be based in Cikarang, West Java.
