We are seeking a Transportation Compliance Coordinator to lead DOT/FMCSA compliance across our Southwest Region transportation operations.

This role is based out of either our Houston or Dallas hub. While the role will have a primary home location, it is not limited to a single site. The Transportation Compliance Coordinator will provide compliance oversight across the entire SW Region, with travel to other locations as needed.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining audit readiness, keeping the organization current with transportation regulations, coordinating compliance-related incident follow-up, and managing the third-party provider responsible for maintaining driver qualification files.

What We Offer

  • PTO starting on your first day of employment
  • Career growth and advancement opportunities
  • Overtime opportunities available
  • 401(k) with company match up to 3%
  • Low-cost medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Company-paid life insurance
  • Company-paid disability insurance
  • Paid training and advancement opportunities

What You'll Do

  • Own the relationship with the third-party provider responsible for maintaining driver qualification files, ensuring records remain accurate and current for all SW Region drivers.
  • Maintain FMCSA/DOT audit readiness across all regional transportation operations.
  • Monitor regulatory and compliance changes related to drug and alcohol testing, ELD requirements, vehicle inspections, and other applicable FMCSA regulations.
  • Ensure regulatory updates are communicated and implemented consistently across all SW Region locations.
  • Coordinate compliance-related follow-up for transportation incidents and investigations occurring at any SW Region site.
  • Establish and maintain consistent compliance documentation, recordkeeping, and processes across the region.
  • Serve as the regional point of contact for regulatory agencies, DOT/FMCSA representatives, and third-party auditors.
  • Partner with transportation leadership and site teams to identify compliance gaps and drive corrective actions.
  • Support a culture of consistent, proactive transportation compliance throughout the Southwest Region.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in DOT/FMCSA compliance, transportation regulatory compliance, safety, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of:
  • FMCSA regulations
  • DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements
  • Electronic Logging Device (ELD) requirements
  • Driver qualification file standards
  • Transportation inspection and compliance requirements
  • Experience managing vendor or third-party compliance service relationships.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of recordkeeping and organizational discipline.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with multiple locations and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to other SW Region locations as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in transportation, logistics, business, safety, or a related field.
  • DOT compliance certification, such as Certified Director of Safety (CDS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with third-party transportation compliance management systems or providers.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
