Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate transportation planning projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and regulatory requirements.
• Develop detailed system designs using advanced CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Bentley OpenRoads.
• Utilize GIS tools like ArcGIS and GIS-based transportation simulation modeling to analyze spatial data and optimize project outcomes.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports, project documentation, and construction management plans that clearly communicate complex concepts.
• Manage project schedules using project management tools like Bluebeam and oversee team activities to meet deadlines efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, state transportation regulations, and other relevant standards throughout all phases of the project.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil engineers, transportation planners, system designers, and construction managers to deliver high-quality results.

Skills

• Extensive experience in transportation engineering, civil engineering, or related fields with a focus on transportation planning projects.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Bentley OpenRoads for system design and highway design tasks.
• Strong knowledge of GIS platforms including ArcGIS for spatial analysis and transportation simulation modeling.
• Familiarity with construction management practices and construction experience in transportation infrastructure projects.
• Ability to interpret DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and state transportation regulations accurately.
• Skilled in project scheduling, project management, team management, and technical writing for clear communication of complex concepts.
• Experience with transportation system design, highway design, transportation planning projects, and civil 3D modeling tools.
• Knowledge of transportation infrastructure systems including transportation simulation modeling techniques.
