Transportation Driver

Job Title: Transportation Driver for College Athletic and Campus Programs

Position Overview:

Paul Quinn College is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Transportation Driver to support our Campus and Athletic Programs by transporting students, athletes, coaches, and equipment to and from practices, games, and special events. This position plays a vital role in ensuring safe, timely, and professional transportation services for our athletic teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a motor vehicle in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Transport athletic teams to various destinations including local, regional, and occasional overnight trips.
• Assist with loading and unloading sports equipment and luggage as needed.
• Maintain accurate travel logs and vehicle inspection reports.
• Ensure the vehicle is clean, fueled, and ready for each trip.
• Communicate professionally with student-athletes, coaching staff, and college personnel.
• Report any vehicle maintenance issues or incidents promptly to the appropriate staff.
• Adhere to all safety and college policies, especially those involving transportation of students.

Requirements:

• Valid Texas Driver’s License
• Must be able to work Mon to Fri 6am to 2pm
• Clean Texas driving record with no major violations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and committed to safety.
• Availability for flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on the College's schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience driving for a school, college, or athletic team.
• Familiarity with college campuses or athletic event travel logistics.

Additional Details:

• This is a full-time benefits eligible position to support the Colleges transportation needs.
• Drivers may be required to stay overnight for some events (accommodations provided by the college).
