Transportation Fleet Manager

About the role

Lothan Rides is looking for a Transportation Fleet Manager to oversee and coordinate the company's day-to-day fleet operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that vehicles, drivers, schedules, and transportation activities operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.

This role is suited to an organized and hands-on transportation professional who can manage drivers, monitor fleet performance, coordinate vehicle maintenance, and respond effectively to operational issues. The Fleet Manager will play an important role in maintaining service quality while controlling transportation costs and maximizing fleet utilization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily fleet operations, including vehicle availability, assignments, scheduling, and dispatch.
• Supervise drivers and monitor attendance, performance, conduct, and compliance with company policies.
• Coordinate vehicle servicing, preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and breakdowns.
• Monitor vehicle condition, mileage, fuel consumption, and overall fleet utilization.
• Use GPS and/or fleet-management systems to monitor vehicles and improve operational efficiency.
• Plan and optimize routes and vehicle assignments according to operational requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle registrations, insurance, maintenance, inspections, fuel usage, and other fleet documentation.
• Ensure drivers and vehicles comply with applicable Kuwait traffic regulations and company safety standards.
• Investigate accidents, vehicle incidents, customer complaints, and operational issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with maintenance providers, workshops, suppliers, and other external service providers.
• Prepare regular reports covering fleet performance, vehicle downtime, fuel consumption, maintenance, and operating costs.
• Identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary expenses and improve fleet productivity.
• Support the development and enforcement of driver safety procedures and operational policies.
• Work closely with management and other departments to ensure smooth transportation operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in fleet management, transportation, logistics, or a similar operational role.
• Previous experience supervising drivers and managing multiple vehicles is strongly preferred.
• Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance, preventive servicing, fuel management, and fleet operations.
• Familiarity with GPS tracking and fleet-management systems.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for reporting and operational analysis.
• Good understanding of Kuwait roads, transportation operations, and applicable traffic and safety requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment and make decisions under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
• Valid Kuwait driving license is preferred.
• Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
• Candidates currently residing in Kuwait with valid work authorization are preferred.
