Transportation Manager

Grand Targhee Resort is looking for a Transportation Manager to lead the people and operations that keep our employees and guests moving safely and reliably throughout the year.

This role oversees our Transportation Program, including daily shuttle service between Teton Valley and the Resort, airport transportation, RIDE GTR, and Resort shuttle operations. The Transportation Manager leads a team of approximately 15 employees and is responsible for staffing, scheduling, training, safety, compliance, and day-to-day operations.

What You’ll Do

Lead the Transportation Team

• Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise approximately 15 Transportation employees.
• Provide ongoing coaching, training, and ride-alongs to maintain safe, consistent, and guest-focused service.
• Set clear expectations, provide performance feedback, and address employee concerns and performance issues.
• Build schedules and staffing plans that support transportation needs during both peak seasons and the off-season.

Manage Resort Transportation Operations

• Plan, implement, and oversee shuttle services supporting Resort employees, guests, and operations.
• Coordinate daily transportation between Teton Valley and Grand Targhee Resort.
• Develop and operate Resort shuttle service between parking areas and the base area.
• Partner with the Sales team to support airport transportation and RIDE GTR services.
• Step in as a driver when operational needs require additional coverage.
• Adjust transportation plans and schedules in response to business levels, weather, staffing, and changing Resort needs.

Oversee Safety & Compliance

• Maintain compliance with applicable FMCSA requirements, including required safety practices and recordkeeping.
• Ensure drivers consistently follow applicable laws, Resort policies, and departmental safety procedures.
• Maintain required licensing and transportation documentation.
• Promote a strong culture of safety for employees, guests, vehicles, and equipment.

Build Community & Resort Partnerships

• Oversee the public transportation components of Grand Targhee Resort’s Transportation Demand Management program.
• Coordinate partnership and reporting requirements involving Grand Targhee Resort, Teton County, Wyoming, and Teton County, Idaho.
• Work with Resort leadership, the City of Driggs, and Teton County, Wyoming, on public transportation initiatives and potential funding.
• Collaborate across Resort departments to ensure transportation services support broader operational and guest needs.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One to three years of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage changing schedules and operational needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Wyoming Class B CDL with passenger endorsement required.
