Transportation Project Manager

I am working with a respected transportation engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint a Project Manager within the Dallas-Fort Worth market.

This position will involve leading the design and delivery of roadway and highway projects for TxDOT, municipalities and other public-sector clients.

Salary: $130,000-$185,000 depending on experience

Job Specifications:

• Manage roadway and transportation design projects from planning through final delivery
• Lead the preparation of schematic and PS&E design packages
• Oversee project scope, budgets, schedules and contractual requirements
• Coordinate roadway, drainage, traffic, utilities and associated disciplines
• Manage and mentor engineers and design staff
• Maintain communication with clients, subconsultants and project stakeholders
• Review plans, specifications, estimates and technical reports
• Support proposals, qualifications packages and project interviews
• Assist with developing relationships and securing future transportation work

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Texas Professional Engineer license
• Previous roadway or highway design experience
• Experience managing transportation projects and design teams
• Knowledge of TxDOT design standards and project-delivery procedures
• Experience delivering PS&E or schematic projects
• Strong project-management, leadership and communication skills
• TxDOT or North Texas municipal client experience would be beneficial
• Familiarity with MicroStation or OpenRoads Designer is preferred
