Transportation Specialist

Job Summary

The Transportation Specialist is responsible for monitoring transportation activities, maintaining accurate shipment and exception records, and tracking in-transit shipments to ensure timely and efficient delivery operations. The role will support operations across the warehouses in Laguna by consolidating transportation data, identifying urgent issues, and coordinating with relevant teams for timely resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and record daily transportation activities, shipment movements, and delivery status.
• Prepare and maintain accurate transportation statistics, operational records, and daily reports.
• Track in-transit shipments and provide timely updates on shipment status and potential delays.
• Record, monitor, and consolidate transportation exceptions, including delays, failed deliveries, and other operational issues.
• Identify urgent transportation concerns and escalate them to the appropriate team for immediate action.
• Consolidate urgent issues and provide clear updates to the operations team and management.
• Coordinate with drivers, dispatchers, warehouse teams, and other relevant parties to resolve transportation-related issues.
• Monitor dispatch activities and support the timely allocation and movement of shipments.
• Ensure transportation data and records are accurate, complete, and updated within the required timeframe.
• Support transportation performance monitoring and provide reports or analysis as required.
• Perform other transportation and operational duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, dispatching, or operations coordination.
• Strong data recording, monitoring, and reporting skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies or exceptions.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to prioritize urgent issues and work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Candidates with a motorcycle are preferred due to the need to coordinate between the two warehouse locations in Laguna.
• Willing to work or render overtime on weekends when required.
• Willing to respond promptly to operational messages and emergencies outside regular working hours when necessary.
