What they need

VeriTrust Corporation sets the standard in records management and secure information destruction. As a NAID certified provider, we protect what matters most to our clients across Texas. Our drivers are the face of VeriTrust. Each pickup, route, and delivery is part of a chain of custody that our clients trust us to protect.

We are hiring a Transportation Supervisor to lead our transportation department and our team of six drivers. You will own routes, driver schedules, equipment, fleet compliance, and safety from the first truck out to the last truck in. You will be the main link between our clients, Operations, Customer Service, and our support teams. This role reports to the Executive Director of Compliance and Operations.

This role is grounded in VeriTrust's EAIC Core Values: Excellence (high standards), Accountability (own the outcome), Integrity (do the right thing), and Curiosity (learn, ask, improve).

What You Will Do

Client Service

  • Meet service targets for on time pickups, zero missed stops, and client retention.
  • Build strong relationships with client contacts and ask them for honest service feedback.
  • Visit clients to review service quality and resolve concerns.
  • Keep client interaction records current and use them to resolve service issues.
  • Solve route problems during the day, such as missed stops, rush requests, and delays, and keep clients informed.

Routes and Daily Operations

  • Build, balance, and monitor daily routes. Update route notes so drivers have correct client information.
  • Run daily driver check in and debrief. Confirm there is a work order, certificate of destruction, and chain of custody record for every client transaction.
  • Keep enough supplies on hand at all times, such as containers, consoles, and bins.
  • Manage route vehicles, containers, load bars and straps, hand trucks, handheld scanners, printers, and all other company equipment.
  • Review driver hours each pay period to make sure overtime is necessary and routes run efficiently.

Team Leadership

  • Select, train, and develop a qualified, diverse team of six drivers.
  • Coach drivers, complete performance reviews, manage schedules, and approve time.

Fleet, Safety, and Compliance

  • Oversee daily vehicle inspection reports (DVIRs) and make sure they are accurate and complete.
  • Schedule maintenance with our vendors and keep trucks safe and ready for service.
  • Keep DOT records current and audit ready, including driver qualification files and medical card and license expiration tracking.
  • Enforce safety and security procedures on every route to protect our drivers, our clients, and our NAID certification.
  • Track and report transportation performance, such as on time service, missed stops, safety incidents, and cost per route.
  • Work with Customer Service, Operations, and Warehouse teams to fix root causes of recurring service issues.

What You Bring

  • 5 or more years of supervisory experience, preferably in transportation, logistics, courier, or route based service.
  • High school diploma or GED. Some college preferred.
  • A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • A current DOT medical card, or the ability to obtain one before your start date.
  • Experience with routing or dispatch software and handheld scanning systems. Experience with Total Recall is a plus.
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to make fast, correct decisions under pressure.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication with drivers, clients, and leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience in records management, secure destruction, or other chain of custody work is a plus.
  • The ability to drive, load, and unload vehicles safely.
  • Some client sites may require immunizations or site credentials.
