What they need

Dependable drivers wanted. Weekend and flexible availability are a big plus.

Every pickup and drop-off is a client experience. You’re the face of Dog Lab Texas at their front door.

Dog Lab Texas provides hunting, obedience and protection training, along with boarding and transport, for clients who trust us with dogs they’ve invested a great deal in. We guarantee our training results, and for many clients the first person they meet from Dog Lab is the one who shows up in their driveway. As a Transporter, you’re responsible for getting each dog where it needs to go safely and on time. You’re also the person who leaves the client feeling, “These people have it handled.”

What you get here

  • Training that sets you up to succeed. You’ll learn our loading, handling and client-handoff protocols step by step, so you never have to guess.
  • Leaders who notice. Our leadership stays close to the work. Uniforms are provided, and reliability gets recognized.
  • A team that carries its weight. Everyone here is held to the same standard, so you can count on the people around you.
  • Real responsibility. You’re not just a driver. Clients trust you with their dogs, and you represent the company at their home.
  • A path forward. Dependable people who take ownership get more responsibility and more opportunity as we grow.

What you’ll do

  • Drive safely, every time. Transport dogs between client locations and our facility. Obey all driving laws and company safety standards without exception.
  • Handle with control. Follow every loading, unloading and handling protocol. Make sure collars, leashes and restraints are secure before any dog moves, and keep full physical control of each dog through every transition.
  • Own your vehicle. Inspect your vehicle every day for safety, cleanliness and readiness. Keep it clean, organized and properly equipped for transport.
  • Make every handoff count. Be professional with clients at pickup and drop-off. Before you leave with a dog, confirm the client’s instructions and any special considerations. Calm, controlled handling is what tells the client their dog is in good hands.
  • Represent Dog Lab well. Your appearance, communication and behavior reflect the company in every interaction.
  • Stay in sync with the team. Coordinate transport schedules with the Kennel Manager and Operations Manager. Speak up early about delays, problems or schedule changes, before they turn into surprises.
  • Report right away. Report any incident, safety concern or vehicle problem immediately.
  • Keep your paperwork current. Maintain the insurance and documentation your driving responsibilities require.
  • Pitch in. When you’re not on a run, help with light operational tasks around the facility.

What success looks like
Every transport is completed safely, with no incidents. Clients come away from every interaction confident in us. You meet your schedule consistently, and nothing breaks down in communication or handling.

Who thrives here
You’re the person people can count on. When you’re on the schedule, you show up on time and ready. You drive like you’re carrying something valuable, because you are. You stay aware of what’s going on around you, on the road and in a client’s driveway. You’re calm and confident with dogs of every size and temperament, and comfortable chatting with clients. You also communicate before problems grow instead of after.

What you bring

  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. You’ll need to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check and meet our insurance requirements.
  • Dependability and strong driving availability, including [weekends / early mornings / evenings as needed]
  • The ability to handle dogs of all sizes safely and lift up to 25 lbs
  • Professional communication skills and a client-friendly presence
  • A plus: experience handling dogs, or a background in animal care, delivery, rideshare or another customer-facing driving role

Know before you apply
We want you to come in with your eyes open:

  • You’ll be on the road in Houston-area traffic and Texas weather.
  • Schedules can change during the day, so flexibility matters.
  • Some dogs are large, strong or still in training, and calm, firm handling is part of the job.
