Position Summary

DLP Services is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and safety-conscious Trash Attendant to support daily waste collection and disposal operations in Monahans, Texas. The Trash Attendant is responsible for collecting, transporting, and disposing of trash and waste materials, maintaining clean and sanitary work areas, and ensuring that designated areas remain free of debris.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect trash and waste from designated areas, including guest rooms, hallways, common areas, offices, and other assigned locations.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed.
• Transport collected waste to designated dumpsters or disposal areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization around dumpsters, trash collection points, and waste storage areas.
• Monitor trash receptacles and ensure waste is removed according to established schedules.
• Report overflowing dumpsters, damaged trash containers, spills, or other sanitation concerns to the supervisor.
• Follow proper waste-handling, sanitation, and recycling procedures where applicable.
• Use cleaning tools, carts, and other equipment safely and properly.
• Wear required personal protective equipment and follow all workplace safety guidelines.
• Assist housekeeping and other departments with cleaning and general labor duties as assigned.
• Maintain a professional attitude and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial services, waste collection, or general labor preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance.
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments as required.
• Must follow company policies, safety procedures, and supervisor instructions.

Physical Requirements

This position requires prolonged standing and walking, frequent bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling. The employee must be able to lift, carry, and transport trash bags and waste containers within the physical requirements of the position. Duties may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions, unpleasant odors, and waste materials. Reasonable accommodations will be provided as required by applicable law.

Work Environment

The Trash Attendant may work indoors and outdoors in areas such as hallways, service areas, parking lots, dumpster enclosures, and other designated waste collection locations. Employees must follow established sanitation procedures and use appropriate protective equipment when handling waste.
