Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash, recyclables, and debris from various locations within the facility using appropriate cleaning equipment.
• Operate floor buffers, sweepers, and other cleaning tools to maintain cleanliness standards across all areas.
• Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning procedures, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety protocols.
• Perform heavy lifting tasks following safe lifting practices to move waste containers or bulky debris.
• Conduct routine sanitation of trash receptacles and surrounding areas to prevent odors and pest issues.
• Assist with general custodial duties such as floor care, minor repairs, and facility maintenance tasks as needed.
• Follow all safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with cleaning procedures and equipment.
• Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning agents.
• Experience operating floor buffers, sweepers, or other custodial machinery is a plus.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique.
• Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence and workplace safety standards.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary.
• Basic understanding of facilities maintenance or commercial cleaning practices is advantageous.
