Travel Consultant

Job summary

We are seeking a smart, professional, customer-focused and result-oriented Travel Consultant to join our growing travel & education consulting firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting clients with travel arrangements, visa consultation, flight bookings, travel documentation and education-related travel services. The candidate should have excellent communication skills, good knowledge of the travel industry and the ability to convert enquiries into successful bookings and clients.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional travel consultation and guidance to clients.
• Assist clients with visa application processes, requirements and documentation.
• Handle flight reservations, ticketing and itinerary planning.
• Advise clients on suitable travel destinations, visa options and travel requirements.
• Assist students and clients with international education and study-abroad enquiries.
• Prepare and review clients’ travel and visa documentation.
• Follow up with prospective clients and convert enquiries into sales.
• Maintain excellent relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Keep up to date with visa policies, airline requirements, travel regulations and destination information.
• Handle client enquiries through phone calls, WhatsApp, email and other communication channels.
• Maintain accurate records of clients, applications, bookings and transactions.
• Work with other team members to achieve company sales and service targets. Provide excellent customer service before, during and after travel arrangements.

Requirements:

• HND in travel & tourism, hospitality, business administration, mass communication or a related field.
• Previous experience in travel consultancy, visa processing, ticketing or education consulting is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of visa application procedures and travel documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Good sales, negotiation and follow-up abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and online communication platforms.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Professional appearance, confidence and a positive attitude.
