Travel Consultant

About the role

Working within a team, you will be in daily contact with clients and sales offices, processing bookings, answering questions and creating travel itineraries. We have clients from all over the world, however we specialize in European and other English Speaking markets. A good Travel Consultant is focused on providing the best service and advice to agents, has good product knowledge and keeps looking to improve it, has a professional mind-set and a passion for travel in their work and at the same time is supporting the Company Sustainability initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Correspond with overseas travel agents and partners and provide accurate travel information
• Advise and create Travel itineraries for agents
• Make quotations and proposals and reconfirm bookings
• Understand existing and new products offered by the Company
• Work with Operations team to deliver optimal service on the ground
• Issue invoices in timely manner and assist accounting in regards to payment
• Follow the company tools, systems and standard operating procedures
• Support the company Sustainability initiatives towards ethical tourism

About you

• Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, Business or other related field
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Inbound Tour Operations in European and other English speaking markets
• Good attitude, well organized, hardworking, with the ability to work as part of a team
• Knowledge of responsible tourism is a plus
• Leadership skills are an advantage for this role
• Experience using TourPlan is a great advantage
