Travel Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Travel Coordinator to join MECADO TRADING PTE LTD in a full-time capacity. Based in the Downtown Core Central Region, this role is central to delivering exceptional travel experiences and seamless coordination services to our clients. As a Travel Coordinator, you will be the linchpin between our clients' travel aspirations and the successful execution of their journeys, working collaboratively with travel partners, vendors and internal teams to ensure every detail is perfectly arranged.

What you'll be doing

• Coordinating travel itineraries and bookings for clients, including flights, accommodation, ground transportation and activities
• Researching and recommending travel destinations, packages and experiences tailored to client preferences and budgets
• Managing client communication throughout the booking process, providing updates and addressing enquiries promptly
• Liaising with travel suppliers, hotels, airlines and tour operators to secure rates, confirm reservations and resolve any issues
• Processing travel documentation including visa requirements, travel insurance and necessary permits
• Maintaining detailed travel records and itineraries in our booking systems
• Providing exceptional customer service and support before, during and after travel arrangements
• Handling amendments and changes to bookings with efficiency and professionalism
• Building and maintaining relationships with travel partners and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and quality service
• Contributing to the development of travel packages and promotional offerings

What we're looking for

• 1-3 years of experience in travel coordination, travel agency or related customer service roles within the hospitality and tourism sector
• Strong knowledge of travel booking systems, global distribution systems (GDS) and travel management software
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple bookings and clients simultaneously
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-centric approach
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and computer literacy
• Knowledge of travel destinations, visa requirements and travel regulations
• Attention to detail and accuracy in processing complex travel arrangements
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with calm professionalism
• A passion for travel and genuine enthusiasm for helping clients plan memorable experiences
• Flexibility and willingness to work extended hours during peak travel periods
