Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist for a 13-week night shift assignment in an outpatient sleep lab setting.

Details

• Acute care hospital outpatient sleep lab setting located off the main hospital campus
• 10-bed sleep lab with 2 beds designated for pediatric testing
• Patient ratio is 2:1 tech to patient, with 1:1 for patients younger than 3 years old
• Uses EPIC charting system along with Natus XLTech Sleep Works and ResMed S9 devices
• 3 night shifts per week, Sunday through Thursday, with 12-hour shifts
• Shifts will not always be consecutive and may include split shifts
• No call requirements and no floating to other departments

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a sleep tech
• RPSGT and BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• EPIC EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic sleep testing including PAP therapy titration
• Responsibilities include patient check-in, room setup, patient hookup, charting, and equipment cleaning
• Limited scoring during data collection
• Orientation includes modified EMR training and one shift shadowing another sleep tech
• Gray scrubs required
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Flat lot parking available immediately outside the building with a secured entrance
• No cafeteria on site
• Accepts local candidates within an 80-mile radius at an adjusted pay rate
