Traveling Project Engineer/Project Manager - Data Center Mechanical Construction

We are seeking a Project Engineer or early-career Project Manager to support mechanical construction on a major data center project. This is a permanent position with continued travel to future projects after that assignment.

You will work with project and field leadership to keep mechanical work moving safely, accurately and on schedule. The scope may include piping, HVAC, plumbing and related systems. We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked for a mechanical contractor and are ready to take on more project ownership.

What you’ll do

• Coordinate drawings, RFIs, submittals, procurement and material deliveries
• Track schedules, progress, costs and change orders
• Work closely with superintendents, subcontractors, vendors and the client team
• Help resolve field issues and keep work aligned with project requirements
• Support testing, commissioning, punch lists and closeout
• Take on broader responsibility based on your experience

What we’re looking for

• Experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager in mechanical construction
• Working knowledge of piping, HVAC, plumbing or related mechanical systems
• Strong organization, communication and follow-through
• Ability and willingness to travel full-time for project assignments

Data center, mission-critical, semiconductor or industrial project experience is preferred. Candidates with substantial mechanical scope on other complex commercial projects are also encouraged to apply.

Compensation and travel support

Compensation will reflect experience and level of responsibility. The package includes lodging and per diem while traveling, along with vehicle support. Details will be discussed during the interview process.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
