Treasurer

For one of our clients, an international construction company who is currently involved in major railway infrastructure projects in Slovakia, we are looking for a Treasurer to work in Malacky.

Responsibilities:

Finance

• preparing and distributing payment proposals

• entering payment orders

• monitoring incoming and outgoing payments

• liaising with the finance, HR, and accounting departments

• printing and archiving bank statements

• verifying payment authorization

• verifying suppliers' bank account details

Bank Guarantees

• reviewing the content, terms, and duration of received bank guarantees

• preparing for the issuance of bank guarantees

• monitoring compliance with retention money terms

• releasing retention money

Reporting

• preparing and updating cash flow forecasts

• preparing financial status reports for management

• compiling and distributing payment summaries

• preparing, updating, and presenting weekly financial reports

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of experience in treasury, finance operations, accounts payable, or a similar finance role
• Hands-on experience preparing payment proposals, entering payment orders in e-banking platforms, and monitoring cash movements
• Practical knowledge of bank guarantees
• Experience in construction, engineering, or project-based environments is an advantage
• Experience preparing cash flow forecasts and periodic financial reports for management
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, financial modelling); experience with an ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Good communication skills, comfortable working with Finance, HR, Accounting, and external banks
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle confidential information with discretion
• Fluent English
• Language of Italy is a strong plus
