What they need

Aspial Group is a publicly listed company in Singapore with a diversified portfolio spanning jewellery retail, property development, financial services, hospitality, and resort management. Our portfolio includes well-established brands such as Maxi-Cash, Lee Hwa Jewellery, Goldheart Jewellery, Niessing and Bigfundr.

Aspial Lifestyle Business Services (ALBS) serves as the Group's shared services centre in Malaysia, supporting various business units across the region.

As part of our continued growth and governance journey, we are seeking a Treasury Manager an experienced and capable Treasury Manager, based in Kuala Lumpur, to independently own and drive the Group's treasury operations as a primary individual contributor. The successful candidate will operate with a high degree of autonomy and judgment, taking ownership of hedging strategy formulation, treasury risk positioning, and banking relationship outcomes, with minimal supervision and accountability for end-to-end delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership in executing Spot, Forward, and Option transactions, exercising immediate and sound judgment to agreed rates in real time as market conditions require.
  • Independently oversee and maintain the integrity of all derivative transaction records, including trade execution, contract settlement, and treasury exposure reporting.
  • Drive the development, maintenance, and continuous enhancement of treasury monitoring frameworks and templates that strengthen risk visibility and operational efficiency.
  • Take ownership of the cash flow and liquidity position, including fund transfer execution and liquidity risk mitigation.
  • Lead the end-to-end analysis, structuring, and monitoring of the Segment’s FX exposures and hedging strategies, translating risk assessments into clear, well-supported recommendations that align with the Group’s financial objectives and risk appetite.
  • Manage banking counterparty relationships, leading negotiations to secure competitive market quotations, favorable terms, and service quality that directly impact Group treasury cost efficiency.
  • Independently analyze information from banks and internal stakeholders, form well-supported treasury and hedging views, and take ownership of recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Own the preparation, review, and presentation of treasury reports and reconciliations while identifying control gaps and driving improvements to strengthen treasury controls and reporting accuracy.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders on secured lending projects and financial structuring initiatives, providing treasury input and support on other ad hoc matters as required.
  • Undertake other treasury and finance-related duties as required, exercising a high degree of autonomy and initiative.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • At least 8 years of relevant treasury, corporate finance, or banking experience, with a proven track record of independently managing FX hedging and liquidity strategy at a meaningful scale, preferably within a corporate or group treasury environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-hundred-million-dollar exposure or transaction volumes, with clear accountability for outcomes.
  • Established banking relationships and a track record of negotiating favourable terms, pricing, and facilities with financial institutions.
  • Strong strategic and analytical capability — able to independently structure hedging strategies and financial risk recommendations without close supervision.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent stakeholder-management and influencing skills, with the credibility to engage senior leadership and banking counterparties as a trusted advisor.
  • Highly self-motivated and comfortable operating as a sole contributor — able to manage competing priorities, drive outcomes independently, and take full accountability without a supporting team structure.
  • Able to work independently with a high degree of autonomy, while possessing the leadership capability to manage and guide a team as business needs and organisational direction evolve.
