Treasury Operations Specialist

About the Role

You will own the daily reconciliation and settlement side of our payment operations across multiple currency corridors — matching what our ledger shows against what actually moved through banking partners and payment rails, catching discrepancies, and either clearing them or escalating with the numbers to back it up. You will also work FX flows and be one of the first operators running SEPA transactions in live production once we move off the demo environment.

What You'll Do

• Perform daily reconciliation: match ledger entries (including fees/commissions) against bank statements and payment-partner reports; investigate and resolve breaks.

• Process and monitor FX transactions across routes/corridors, checking rates and amounts against expected values.

• Execute and monitor SEPA payments; help take the process from test to live production.

• When a mismatch is not a simple fix: recalculate, verify against source documents, and escalate with a clear explanation of what happened.

• Maintain clean records of reconciliation results, exceptions, and resolutions for audit purposes.

• Flag anything that looks like a system error, a banking-partner error, or a process gap worth tightening.

What You Need

• Hands-on experience in treasury operations, payment operations, or bank reconciliation — someone who has actually processed and settled deals, not just reviewed reports.

• Comfortable with numbers and used to being accountable for reconciliation accuracy.

• Basic understanding of FX and cross-border payment mechanics.

• Methodical and doesn't let discrepancies slide — escalates rather than guesses.

• Excel/spreadsheet proficiency; comfortable learning a ledger / back-office system.

• Excellent English

Nice to Have

• SEPA payment experience.

• Experience at a fintech, remittance business, PSP, or bank back-office.

• 2 year treasury experience
