Treatment Room Nurse

We are a friendly practice looking for a treatment room nurse for immediate start.

Hours: 8hrs (Flexibility to work between hours of 8.30-6 Mon- Fri)

Essential Criteria:

• You must be a RGN who is registered with the NMC.
• At least 1 Year's post registration experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a 'can do' positive attitude

Desirable criteria

• Experience of working within a Treatment Room/GP surgery environment.
• IT literacy required. Experience with EMIS software is desirable but not essential.
• Experience / understanding of primary care and general practice

Job summary To work as part of the clinical team and to provide support for both the health care assistants and doctors.

To be flexible and responsive to the health needs of the population.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide a high standard of compassionate clinical care.

Main Duties

• Assisting in the delivery of immunisation programmes (e.g. Influenza ,covid & Pneumococcal immunisation)
• Injections (as per local protocols)
• Urinalysis
• ECG recording
• BP, pulse and other observations including 24 hr BP monitoring
• Removal of wound closure materials (sutures/clips/staples)
• Supporting patients in the treatment and follow up of chronic disease management, including diabetes, asthma, COPD, and CHD risk assessment and management.
• Wound care management & dressings
• Phlebotomy*(This list is meant as a guide only and is not exhaustive)*
