TREE CLIMBER

InfanTREE USA Tree Service is looking for an experienced, motivated Tree Climber to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, works safely and efficiently, and can confidently handle climbing, pruning, removals, lift work, and chainsaw operations.

COMPENSATION

Competitive – High Daily Pay Based on Experience and Skill Level

Your experience, climbing ability, production, and overall skill set will determine your pay.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely climb trees using ropes, harnesses, climbing systems, and approved techniques.
• Perform tree removals, pruning, trimming, reductions, and other tree care work from the ground, tree, and aerial lift.
• Operate chainsaws safely and efficiently while performing tree work.
• Perform technical removals and work around homes, structures, power lines, fences, landscaping, and other obstacles.
• Perform proper pruning cuts and follow industry-accepted tree care practices.
• Operate and work from aerial lifts when qualified.
• Assist with rigging, lowering, and safely controlling limbs and sections during removals.
• Communicate effectively with the ground crew throughout the job.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.
• Safely operate or assist with groundwork, stump equipment, loaders, trailers, and other tree-care equipment as qualified.
• Inspect climbing gear, ropes, harnesses, chainsaws, and other equipment before use.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and report mechanical or safety issues immediately.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and jobsite instructions.
• Treat customers, neighbors, coworkers, and members of the public professionally.
• Help ensure each job is completed safely, efficiently, and to the customer's expectations.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Proven experience as a professional tree climber.
• Strong climbing and chainsaw skills.
• Experience with both pruning and removals.
• Ability to safely perform work at significant heights.
• Experience with rigging and technical removals preferred.
• Aerial lift experience preferred. (CELA Lift knowledge a plus)
• Knowledge of proper pruning practices and tree biology.
• Ability to identify common tree species and understand basic tree structure and growth.
• Strong understanding of jobsite safety and hazard awareness.
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a crew while also taking responsibility for your portion of the job.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work outdoors in Florida's heat and varying weather conditions.
• Physically capable of climbing, lifting, carrying, and performing demanding tree work throughout the workday.
• Professional attitude and ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.

THE RIGHT PERSON

We are looking for someone who knows how to climb, knows how to run a saw, works safely, and takes pride in production and clean up.

You should be able to look at a tree, understand the work that needs to be performed, communicate with the crew, and execute the job safely and efficiently.

This is not a position for someone who is simply looking to show up and climb. We expect our climbers to be an important part of the entire operation—from planning the work and communicating with the crew to safely completing the tree work and leaving the property clean.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Primarily outdoor work in Central Florida.
• Exposure to heat, humidity, rain, wind, and other weather conditions.
• Frequent climbing, lifting, carrying, bending, and working at heights.
• Work around chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, rigging systems, and heavy equipment.
• Some jobs will involve large trees, technical removals, and challenging access or work conditions.
