JB Tree 365 is looking for a motivated, dependable Tree Climber to join our growing team! We specialize in large tree removals, technical removals, land clearing, and professional tree care throughout Sonoma County and surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of professional climbing experience, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to job site safety. This position will primarily focus on tree removals, including climbing, dismantling, and working alongside ground crews and heavy equipment operators.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well with their team, and is eager to continue developing their skills in the tree care industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform tree climbing and removal operations using approved climbing techniques and equipment.
• Safely dismantle trees in sections, including removals near structures and other obstacles.
• Operate chainsaws and other tree care equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with rigging, rope systems, and controlled lowering of limbs and wood.
• Work closely with ground crews and equipment operators to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Inspect and maintain climbing gear, ropes, saws, and other equipment.
• Assist with ground operations, debris removal, and site cleanup as needed.
• Maintain a professional and respectful attitude toward coworkers, customers, and their properties.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional tree climbing experience required.
• Experience with tree removals and basic rigging techniques.
• Proficiency with chainsaws and standard tree care equipment.
• Familiarity with climbing systems, ropes, saddles, and personal protective equipment.
• Understanding of proper job site safety procedures.
• Ability to work safely at heights and perform physically demanding outdoor work.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and take constructive feedback.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with large tree removals and technical rigging.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment used in tree removal operations.
• Valid driver's license.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Relevant arboriculture training or certifications.
