Tree Climber

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hard working individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the world of arboriculture, experience climbing, tree trimming, and/or with chainsaws and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely ascend trees using climbing gear and rigging techniques to perform pruning, trimming, or removal operations.
• Operate bucket trucks and other equipment to access difficult areas efficiently.
• Implement arborist rigging techniques for safe tree dismantling or branch removal, ensuring minimal impact on surrounding landscapes.
• Conduct tree care activities including planting, pruning, trimming, and health assessments based on horticultural best practices.
• Perform tree removal with precision, following safety protocols and environmental considerations.
• Follow all safety procedures rigorously to prevent accidents during outdoor work and equipment operation.
• Collaborate with groundcrew to get the job done efficiently
• Maintenance of equipment and various tasks at the yard including but not limited to washing of vehicles, landscaping, wood milling, cleaning, etc.

Requirements

• Proven outdoor work experience with a focus on horticulture, landscaping, or arboriculture.
• Demonstrated ability to climb trees safely using harnesses, ropes, and other climbing gear.
• Experience with chainsaws and other pruning tools used in tree trimming and removal projects.
• Familiarity with rigging techniques and safe bucket operation is highly desirable.
• ISA Arborist Certified is highly desirable
• Current Drivers License required, ability to tow a trailer preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety protocols at all times.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards learning and growth within the role.
• Ability to work well on own when needed
• Ability to lift 70+ lbs

Hours

Mon- Fri, 7:30 - 4:00. Some Saturdays optional.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
