Barnes Nursery, Inc. is looking for an experienced, hardworking Tree Climber/Bucket Operator to join our team serving customers throughout Northern Ohio. If you enjoy working outdoors, take pride in quality tree work, and have the skills to safely work at heights, we’d like to hear from you.

Position: Tree Climber/Bucket Operator

Location: Huron, Ohio
Company: Barnes Nursery, Inc.
Position Type: Full-Time, Part-Time and/or Seasonal

Pay Rate: $28.00+/HOUR, willing to pay more based on proven experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely climb and work in trees using proper climbing and rigging techniques.
• Perform tree pruning, removals, and related tree-care services.
• Operate chainsaws and other tree-care equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with rigging, lowering, chipping, and cleanup operations.
• Work as part of a professional tree-care crew.
• Plant health care technician and lawn technician work included.
• Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices.
• Maintain equipment and help keep job sites clean and organized.
• Provide professional, courteous service to our customers.

Qualifications

• Previous professional tree-climbing experience preferred.
• Ability to safely climb and work at heights.
• Experience with chainsaws, ropes, rigging, and tree-care equipment.
• Strong understanding of tree-pruning and removal practices.
• Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
• Dependable, hardworking, and safety-minded.
• Valid driver's license REQUIRED.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Preference given to certified arborists or any similar certifications.

Experienced climbers are encouraged to apply. Opportunities may also be available for motivated individuals with tree-care experience who are looking to advance their climbing skills.
