Tree Climber/Groundsperson

Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Tree Climber/Grounds Crew and become a vital part of our crew! In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for safely climbing trees, performing pruning, trimming, and removal tasks, as well as supporting ground operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in tree care, rigging, and outdoor work.

Responsibilities

• Safely climb trees using proper arborist rigging techniques and equipment such as harnesses, ropes, and climbing spikes
• Perform tree pruning, trimming, and removal with precision to promote tree health and safety
• Operate bucket trucks and other aerial lift equipment to access high branches efficiently
• Assist with rigging operations for large or hazardous tree removals using appropriate arborist rigging techniques
• Support ground crew in tasks such as plant pruning care, lawn care, landscape maintenance, and general site cleanup
• Use chainsaws and other hand tools safely for cutting and trimming branches or trees
• Follow strict safety protocols during all operations to prevent accidents and ensure team safety

Requirements

• Prior outdoor work experience with a focus on landscaping, or tree care preferred
• Teamwork
• Knowledge of arborist rigging techniques, tree removal procedures, and tree trimming best practices
• Ability to work long days in various temperatures
• Ability to operate bucket trucks and perform bucket operation safely
• Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence at all times during work activities
• Physical ability to climb trees, lift heavy equipment or materials, and perform strenuous outdoor tasks
• Valid outdoor work experience demonstrating reliability and teamwork skillsJoin us in creating safer, greener spaces!
