Tree Climber/Groundsperson

Job Overview

Join our team as a Tree Climber/Groundsperson and become a key part of delivering professional tree care services throughout the Treasure Valley. In this hands-on role, you will work alongside certified arborists and experienced crew members to perform safe, efficient tree removals, pruning, and maintenance.

This position offers the opportunity to build a career in the tree care industry while gaining valuable experience in climbing, rigging, and operating specialized equipment. We’re a fast-paced, outdoor crew where teamwork, safety, and pride in our work come first.

Duties

• Safely ascend trees using proper climbing gear to perform pruning, trimming, and removal
• Operate bucket trucks and lifts to access and work on trees safely
• Assist with rigging to safely lower branches and wood during removals
• Perform ground operations including dragging brush, chipping, stacking wood, and site cleanup
• Support climbers and crew leaders with equipment setup, maintenance, and job site organization
• Load and unload tools, equipment, and debris from trucks and trailers
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to maintain a safe work environment

Requirements

• Experience in tree care or outdoor labor preferred, but willingness to learn is a must
• Ability to climb trees using ropes, harnesses, and rigging systems (or willingness to be trained)
• Familiarity with bucket truck operation is a plus
• Strong physical ability to lift, climb, and perform demanding outdoor work for extended periods
• Valid driver’s license required; clean driving record preferred
• CDL or rigging/climbing certifications are a plus but not required
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and following instructions

Pay: $23.00 - $35.00 per hour
