Tree Service Worker

Responsibilities

• Operate bucket trucks, chainsaws, and other tree care equipment safely and efficiently to perform pruning, trimming, and removal tasks.
• Use arborist rigging techniques to safely dismantle large or hazardous trees while protecting surrounding structures and landscapes.
• Conduct tree assessments to determine health status and identify potential hazards or disease risks.
• Perform plant pruning care that promotes healthy growth and enhances the visual appeal of trees and shrubs.
• Execute land clearing activities such as tree removal and stump grinding with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
• Apply landscape maintenance skills including lawn care, planting, and general horticultural practices to support overall site aesthetics.
• Follow strict safety procedures at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to industry standards for outdoor work environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in outdoor landscape or tree care work with a strong understanding of horticulture, dendrology (the study of trees), and landscape maintenance.
• Familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) technology is a plus for site mapping and planning.
• Ability to operate bucket trucks safely for elevated work tasks.
• Knowledge of arborist rigging techniques for complex tree dismantling projects.
• Experience with tree removal, pruning, trimming, and plant care practices that promote healthy growth.
• Skilled in the use of chainsaws, rigging gear, and other specialized tools required for tree service operations.
• Commitment to safety protocol adherence during all outdoor activities; previous safety training certifications are advantageous.
• Growing experience in landscaping or horticulture fields is desirable; outdoor work experience is essential.

Pay: $160.00 - $250.00 per day
