Treewalk Ranger/Glowworm Guide

About the role

As a key part of our team, you'll be greeting guests, sharing information about the Redwoods, the local flora and fauna, the history of the land and guiding guests through our Glowworm cave. Whether you are working during our Day Walk, the magical Nightlights or our Glowworm cave, you'll be keeping things lively and engaging. Peak times can get busy, so we're looking for team members who are flexible and happy to work longer days, evenings and finish late during summer and holidays. Health and Safety is our top priority, and we pride ourselves on award-winning standards. As a Treewalk staff member, you'll play a vital role in ensuring these standards are maintained, including inspecting infrastructure and responding to non-routine situations. We're also proud stewards of the land, ensuring the forest remains protected and enjoyed by all.

Key responsibilities

• Greeting guests and sharing information about the Redwoods, local flora and fauna, and the history of the land
• Guiding guests through the Glowworm cave
• Keeping things lively and engaging during Day Walk, Nightlights, and Glowworm cave experiences
• Maintaining health and safety standards and inspecting infrastructure
• Responding to non-routine situations
• Ensuring the forest remains protected and enjoyed by all
• Working flexible hours including longer days, evenings, and late finishes during summer and holidays
• Working weekends and holidays during peak tourism periods
