Trend and Content Researcher

About the role

You will support our existing weekly content by adding your identified timely and engaging topics that can help increase reach, attract new audiences, and retain existing viewers.

“What are Filipinos talking about this week, and why should our audience care?”

Your research will help the team find opportunities to reach new audiences and keep weekly content relevant.

Key responsibilities

• Research 3–5 trending topics weekly in the Philippines

• Monitor trends and conversations across Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and other relevant platforms

• Identify topics involving viral conversations, entertainment, personalities, news, internet culture, gossip, and other timely discussions

• Recommend topics that can be naturally integrated into weekly content

• Provide supporting data, references, screenshots (when relevant), and source links for each researched topic

• Fact-check information and flag unverified or speculative claims

• Submit research consistently into the day deadline according to the weekly content schedule

About you

• Strong awareness of Philippine social media trends and internet culture
• Active user of Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram
• Strong research and fact-checking skills
• Able to identify what is genuinely gaining attention versus short-lived noise
• Comfortable gathering data and credible source links to support research
• Good understanding of Filipino entertainment, online culture, personalities, and current conversations
• Experience with sports, gaming, entertainment, or digital media is an advantage
• Reliable and able to meet a weekly deadline
