Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Trim & Final (T&F) Process Engineer to support new model launches and current production programs within an automotive manufacturing environment.

The role will have end-to-end responsibility for process planning, tooling, quality, ergonomics, production readiness, continuous improvement, and launch support , from concept through Job 1 and into mass production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Trim & Final manufacturing process development and launch activities through all build phases up to Job 1.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, tooling, jigs, fixtures, and workstation layouts.
• Ensure production readiness through standardized work, operator training, station readiness, and structured problem-solving.
• Create and maintain PFMEA, Control Plans, process documentation, and visual management systems .
• Drive quality, safety, ergonomics, and compliance with IATF, MQOS, and Bill of Process (BOP) requirements.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions for product and process concerns.
• Support line balancing, workforce planning, efficiency improvements, productivity, and cost-reduction initiatives .
• Collaborate closely with Production, Launch, Quality, Logistics, Facilities, and Program Management teams.
• Manage engineering changes and support the introduction of new technologies and model updates.
• Track engineering and production issues and drive timely resolution using structured problem-solving methodologies and manufacturing systems.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in Automotive Manufacturing Engineering , preferably within Trim & Final Assembly .
• Hands-on experience with:
• PFMEA
• Control Plans
• Process Design
• Ergonomics
• Manufacturing Launch Activities
• Good knowledge of APQP, IATF 16949, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Experience with line balancing, productivity improvement, workforce planning, and process optimization .
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Familiarity with manufacturing and engineering tools such as:
• Teamcenter
• CATIA
• ENOVIA
• Proficy
• IPLM
• WERS
• FMEA tools
• Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements, risk assessments, and manufacturing compliance standards .
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced automotive production and launch environment .
• Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline is preferred.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on Automotive T&F / Trim & Final Process Engineer with strong experience in new model launches, manufacturing process development, PFMEA, Control Plans, line balancing, ergonomics, and production readiness .

Experience supporting automotive programs from concept/build phases through Job 1 and mass production will be highly valued.
