Trim Installer

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trim Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing interior and exterior trim elements, including baseboards, crown molding, door casings, window trims, and other wood or composite finishes. Your expertise will help transform spaces by adding finishing touches that enhance both aesthetics and functionality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on residential projects, utilizing your carpentry skills and construction knowledge to deliver high-quality results efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine the scope of trim installation projects.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble trim materials using hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and measuring tapes.
• Operate power tools for woodworking including drills, nail guns, sanders, and routers while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols.
• Install various types of trim including baseboards, crown molding, door and window casings with precision and attention to detail.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or applying caulking or plastering as needed before installation.
• Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects according to construction plans.
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials on-site; perform heavy lifting when necessary to handle materials safely.

Experience

• Proven experience in residential carpentry or trim carpentry with a strong background in construction projects.
• Skilled in reading blueprints, construction plans, and technical drawings for accurate installation.
• Familiarity with woodworking machines and hand tools used in trim fabrication and installation.
• Knowledge of building codes related to interior finishes such as drywall finishing, caulking, stucco, siding, and window/door hanging.
• Experience with water damage restoration or mold remediation is a plus but not required.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
• Prior experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety procedures related to power tools and construction environments.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
