Seeking Class A truck driver with 3 months or more tractor trailer experience to deliver building material along route. Job requires strapping and unstrapping heavy loads. Driver also will have to tarp backhauls weighing 60-70 lbs.

Home nightly

M-F hour varies start time between 1am-5am 8-14 hour days

Responsibilities

• Safely operate box trucks, vans, or commercial trucks to deliver goods to various locations while adhering to all traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
• Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with vehicle maintenance standards
• Manage route driving efficiently by planning optimal paths and utilizing mobile devices for navigation and delivery updates
• Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries, addressing customer inquiries professionally, and maintaining a positive attitude throughout interactions
• Assist with warehouse operations including moving inventory, organizing shipments, and supporting manual handling tasks as needed
• Follow safe lifting practices during heavy lifting activities to prevent injuries and ensure workplace safety standards are met

Experience

• Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in material handling equipment operation and warehouse operations procedures
• Previous commercial driving experience with a focus on delivery driving using box trucks or vans
• Experience in delivery driver roles involving route driving, load & unload tasks, and adhering to traffic regulations
• Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques, manual handling practices, and safe lifting protocols in accordance with workplace safety guidelines
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is valued
• Familiarity with mobile devices for route navigation and delivery documentation is advantageous
• Strong customer service skills combined with a commitment to safety and compliance in all aspects of driving and manual handling activities

Pay: $80,000.00 - $84,000.00 per year
