Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport freight over long and short distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load security
• Load and unload freight using forklift or other heavy equipment when necessary, ensuring proper handling and placement of cargo
• Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
• Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle reliability during trips
• Operate heavy equipment safely when required for loading or unloading freight

Experience

• Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with freight transportation or long-haul routes
• Skilled in forklift operation and capable of handling heavy equipment safely
• Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols for heavy equipment operation
• Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting on trucks and related equipment
• Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
