Truck Driver - Class 1

Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver - Class 1 to join our transportation team. This role involves operating heavy-duty trucks to transport freight safely and efficiently across various routes. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, a focus on safety, and experience with commercial vehicle operation. Candidates should be committed to maintaining high standards of service and compliance with transportation regulations.

Must have dump trailer experience. Please specify in job application years experience with dump trailers.

Duties

• Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks for the transportation of freight over short and long distances
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and issues
• Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle readiness
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during operations
• Assist with warehouse operations including freight handling and inventory management when required

Experience

• Valid Class 1 Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably in freight or logistics environments
• Knowledge of automotive repair basics is advantageous but not mandatory
• Prior experience with long-haul or regional trucking routes is preferred
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various settings
