Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Truck Driver Class C/B to join our dynamic transportation team! In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight, including refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, and various cargo types across local, regional, and over-the-road (OTR) routes. Your expertise in navigation, vehicle handling, and compliance with federal and state regulations will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class C or B commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) standards.
• Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules and ensure efficient transportation across assigned routes.
• Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo while complying with hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods.
• Transport freight over long distances on OTR routes or within local delivery zones, maintaining accurate logs of driving hours and vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck to identify maintenance needs or safety issues; report any concerns promptly.
• Ensure secure handling of hazardous materials when applicable, following all safety protocols for dangerous goods transportation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route changes, or unforeseen delays; maintain professionalism at all times during deliveries.

Requirements

• Valid Class C or B commercial driver’s license (CDL), with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across various terrains.
• Knowledge of refrigerated trailer operations, hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat), and DOT compliance standards.
• Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently; experience with manual handling of cargo is preferred.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and logistics cargo handling equipment for truck loading/unloading processes.
• Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations related to hours of service, load securement, and safety procedures for tractor-trailers.
• Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, manual handling capabilities, and attention to detail during vehicle inspections.
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting freight during loading/unloading operations while following safety guidelines.
