Truck Driver

We are seeking an experienced, safety-minded Flatbed Delivery Driver & Shop Assistant for a permanent, full-time position. In this role, you will be responsible for securely transporting custom-fabricated stone pieces, countertops, and raw slabs to job sites and material yards within the local region. When not executing deliveries, you will work hands-on in our Chatsworth fabrication shop assisting with material handling, loading, and general shop upkeep.Key Responsibilities

• Safe Transport: Drive and operate a 16ft flatbed truck to deliver finished pieces to residential and commercial job sites.
• Slab Securing: Properly load, position, and tie down fragile marble, granite, and quartz slabs to structural A-frames using heavy-duty ratchet straps.
• Material Handling: Assist with safely loading and unloading material using a forklift, boom attachments, or specialized stone clamps.
• Shop Support: Help stone fabricators around the shop floor, maintain a clean workspace, organize inventory, and manage raw slab positioning when there are no active deliveries.
• Customer Service: Act as a professional representative of our company when interacting with general contractors, installers, and clients at delivery locations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Schedule Availability: Must be reliable and punctual for a daily 6:00 AM start time.
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience driving commercial flatbed trucks (16ft or larger).
• Industry Skill: Proven experience working in a stone fabrication shop or stone distribution yard is highly preferred.
• Tying & Strapping: Demonstrated knowledge of how to properly strap and secure fragile stone slabs to an A-frame to prevent shifting or cracking during transport.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and handle heavy materials alongside an installation or shop crew.
• License & Records: Valid California Driver’s License with a clean DMV driving record.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
